ShineBright — Privacy Policy

ShineBright is the booking app for the ShineBright cleaning service (Los Angeles, California). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the ShineBright client app; a companion app used only by our own team handles the operational side of the same data.

1. Who is responsible

ShineBright (the cleaning business) is responsible for the personal information handled through the app. Privacy contact: juanmanuelchio12@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Phone number: used to create and sign in to your account via a one-time SMS code (Firebase Authentication). Standard message & data rates may apply to verification texts.
Name: so our team knows who to greet at your door.
Service address (and an optional gate/access code you choose to provide): so we can clean at the right place and get in. If you tap “use my location” while placing your address pin, your device location is used once for that pin — it is never collected in the background.
Bookings and messages: your service requests, appointment details, chat messages with our team, and ratings you leave after a visit.
Payment proof (optional): if you pay by Zelle, you may upload a screenshot of your transfer so we can confirm it. We never see or store card numbers — the app has no card processing; cash/card payments happen in person.
Push notification token: so we can notify you about your quote, visit status, and reminders (you control notifications in iOS Settings).

We do not collect data for advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your personal information.

3. How we use it

To provide the service: quotes, scheduling, reminders, payment confirmation, and support chat.
To operate the business: visit history, loyalty rewards and coupons tied to your account, and basic service metrics.
To keep the platform safe: abuse prevention (e.g., blocked accounts and device integrity checks via Apple App Attest / Firebase App Check).

4. Where it is stored

Data is stored in Firebase (Google LLC) on servers in the United States (us-central1), protected by Google's security measures and by per-account security rules: your account can only read and write its own data. Google acts as our processor; see Firebase Privacy & Security.

5. Retention and deleting your account

You can delete your account any time from Profile → inside the app. Deletion removes your personal details (name, addresses, access codes) from your profile immediately. Anonymized visit records (dates, services, amounts) may be retained as business and tax records, no longer linked to your identity. Chat history and payment proofs tied to completed jobs may be kept for the period required for accounting and dispute purposes.

6. Your rights (California and elsewhere)

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information — in-app (account deletion) or by emailing juanmanuelchio12@gmail.com. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

7. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Booking requires being old enough to contract for services.

8. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
